Plastic is everywhere!

Plastic is everywhere. A lot of it ends up in the ocean. Most plastics in the ocean break up into very small particles. These small plastic bits are called "microplastics." Other plastics are intentionally designed to be small. They're called microbeads and are used in many health and beauty products. They pass unchanged through waterways into the ocean. Aquatic life and birds can mistake microplastics for food. Research is being conducted. But there's still much we don't know.

In 2015, the U.S. banned the use of microbeads. But microplastics are still a huge problem. You can help keep plastic out of the ocean. Remember: Reduce. Reuse. Recycle.

Microbeads are tiny pieces of polyethylene plastic added to health and beauty products, such as some cleansers and toothpastes.

Plastic is the most prevalent type of marine debris found in our ocean and Great Lakes. Plastic debris can come in all shapes and sizes, but those that are less than five millimeters in length (or about the size of a sesame seed) are called “microplastics.”

Microplastics come from a variety of sources, including from larger plastic debris that degrades into smaller and smaller pieces. In addition, microbeads, a type of microplastic, are very tiny pieces of manufactured polyethylene plastic that are added as exfoliants to health and beauty products, such as some cleansers and toothpastes. These tiny particles easily pass through water filtration systems and end up in the ocean and Great Lakes, posing a potential threat to aquatic life.

Hi guys these are my spelling results for Week 5 24/08/2018 on Friday I got 19/20 but Next time I should practice my words this time so that I can get 20/20 Hopefully.

I found this game really hard.  I think I also get nervous because we are getting timed.  I'm definately going to try and get a better score next time.

Stop Motion - Pig Hunting

WALT: Create a stop motion animation to tell a story about how we celebrate Matariki.

Success Criteria:  I will

*Use small movements and take lots of photos.

*Work as a team with my group - so our hands don't show.

*Tell a story that is interesting to our audience.

It was really hard to keep the ipad still when taking photos, sometimes our arms would get sore.  Also, the music that we had cut out through the movie and we weren't quite sure how to fix that.

I think we did really well at telling our story, and our props and characters were done well.  We also worked as a team I was taking the photos.  Myer would say, "clear" which told me that her hands were out of the shot, so I could take a photo.  Sometimes her hand got in the way though.

I really liked creating this stop motion. It was lots of fun.

My Speech Critique

Today my class had to present their speech.I talked about how I think bullying should be banned.  I made sure that I had a clear voice and I used expression in my voice to.The other thing was I made sure that i had a little bit of eye contact.The challenging part was when I couldn't stop moving around and 

also  I was are little bit scared but I did a good job

What is  sportsmanship  When you play any sport there are always winners or losers. Sportsmanship isn't  all about winning. It’s all about having fun and having a good time .  Also, sportsmanship is showing respect to others like your teammates,coach,opponents and the Referee. 


What does sportsmanship mean  Being A good sports person means playing fairly. 
You can play fairly by using the tikanga hoe such as following the rules of the game. As a result  your teammates,coach,referee and the other team they will follow and respect you.

Also, sportsmanship means  sharing  the ball because if you do the other people who are playing the game will share the ball too.  You build whakawhanaungatanga or good teamwork and trust. 
In Conclusion It is important to show sportsmanship because you will be a good sports person. If you are good sports person on the field, then you will also be a good  in the classroom, at home ,In public, you will show manaakitanga  tikanga from outside  of the classroom and that’s why you should be a good sportsmanship.

Did you know everybody in the whole wide world carrys an invisible
Bucket on their heads including you?.When you are a bucket filler
Your goal is to help fill someone’s bucket with putups,positive/delighted
Comments and joyful smiles so they feel happy and cheerful.So there bucket would be fill to.yours would also get fill  because your helping them and when someone is being naughty just walk away or tell a teacher.then you would eventually put a bucket lid on your bucket.




One way by being a bucket filler is showing someone respect and honesty and you could also show them manakitanga and you can
Also smile at them if they are a new person oh and show them where to go if they are lost.Bucket filling works by helping others and giving putups to the people who done a good job.

                                                       Being a good Friend

 What is friendship?
Friendship is something between two people and these two people are friends. So if someone is honest to you all the time the other person will do the same thing you done to them. So be good friend to as many people as you can. Then you would have lots of friends.  Also so don’t lie to them.  Be honest cause when you lie to someone that lie turns real and when they find out the right thing they would start getting angry or maybe sad because you were being mean to them or maybe ignoring them. So be a good friend.

If the person is from another culture respect them so then they would also respect you. So make friends and they would learn the the things that you do because they are from another culture and then they would get used to the other person culture and they would be your friend forever. Be friendly.

What does Being a good friend mean?
Friendship means supporting someone in a game or maybe if they lose make them happy and support them. If the winner is being mean to the loser, cheer them up and say they did a good job  means they are a your friend because they appreciate you for what they have done to you then they would be a nice friend. So care for your friend.

In conclusion you should be a good friend to someone because they would be your friend they would see you everyday and every morning if they are your neighbour  or someone else you met in public,or maybe at the park. But If you don’t follow these things I’ve told you Then you would maybe be lonely and you won’t have any friends.so you should be a good friend to someone then you would be happy.

explanation writing - Kindness

Kindness

Kindness is the quality of being friendly,generous,considerate and also it is a kind act. Kindness is something that brings friendship together and also it brings teamwork and it makes people happy so be a kind person.

Secondly  Kindness works by being a good friend and sharing with each other and it can also mean you can be very nice to them because that would make them so happy and very joyful kindness means you gotta treat your friend how they want to be treated so you can respect them and then they would treat you how you treated them and you can talk .

In conclusion Kindness is something that would help you be nice to someone and it would also help you make friends and it would  catch the person’s attention by saying a kind thing to them because they are being nice to you so be Kind to them then you would get the kindness feeling.
